Who is Oliver Mansson? The teenage midfielder from Sweden linked to Man Utd

Oliver Mansson has emerged as one of the most promising talents in Swedish football, so it’s no surprise to see him reportedly attracting Manchester United’s attention.

One of the clear objectives set by Ineos is to strengthen Manchester United’s academy, with the view of spending less on these talented players when they make it, as well as making significant profits to help balance the books.

They’ve signed multiple youth players since taking control of football operations in 2024. That includes Chido Obi, Sekou Kone and Diego Leon. Academy graduates have been sold for profit, too, such as Scott McTominay and Alvaro Carreras.

Ineos are now in the process of scouting more young talents who could give the academy a boost, and maybe the first team. One prospect to emerge on the club’s radar is IFK Goteborg’s Oliver Mansson.
