Ghanaian centre-forward Baba Haruna has joined FC Honka from Atlantis FC on a free transfer, returning to the Finnish club on a contract running until 31 December 2027.
The 23-year-old moves after a productive spell with Atlantis in 2026, scoring 18 goals in 15 appearances in Kakkonen Group A. He also found the net three times in one Suomen Cup appearance, taking his total for the season to 21 goals in 16 matches across the two competitions.
Haruna, who is 1.86m tall and favours his left foot, will now play in Kakkonen Group B with FC Honka. His move changes clubs within the same level of Finnish football after his time in Group A with Atlantis.
He joined Atlantis from FC Jazz on 1 February 2026, also on a free transfer. Before that, Haruna had spent the opening part of his Finnish senior career with SalPa, joining from FC Honka II in January 2024.
Harunas spell at SalPa included a loan move to Tampere United in July 2024. He returned to SalPa at the end of that year before joining FC Jazz permanently on a free transfer in January 2025.
The forwards return places him back within the FC Honka setup after his earlier time with the clubs second team. He joins the first-team squad with recent scoring figures that include a goal every 75 minutes in Kakkonen Group A during the 2026 campaign.
FC Honka have secured Harunas services without a transfer fee, and his new agreement with the club runs through the end of 2027.
