NDC elections: Sorting, counting suspended after violence at Odododiodioo

The sorting and counting of ballot papers in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency elections at Odododiodioo in the Greater Accra Region have been suspended following an outbreak of violence after voting ended.

Accra-based Citi News reported that the disturbance disrupted the electoral process as party members gathered at the polling centre for the election of constituency executives.

The cause of the violence remains unclear, with no confirmed information yet on whether the incident resulted in injuries or damage to property.

It is also uncertain when the sorting and counting of ballots will resume, as party officials are yet to announce measures to restore calm and allow the electoral process to continue.
