Shatta Wale Urges Ghanaians To Support Stonebwoy, Claims Blakk Cedi Still Loves Him

According to a report by Ghbase News on Friday October 23, 2026, Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has appealed to Ghanaians to show more support for fellow musician Stonebwoy, suggesting that the award-winning artiste may be going through challenges that require public attention and understanding.

Shatta Wale, who made the remarks during a TikTok Live session, also claimed that Stonebwoy’s former manager, Blakk Cedi, still has affection for the musician despite their past differences.

He indicated that there could be more to the relationship between the two than the public might understand.

According to Shatta Wale, his personal knowledge of Stonebwoy and his recent interaction with Blakk Cedi in Jamaica had given him reason to believe that the former manager still cares about the dancehall artiste.

“I know Stonebwoy personally, and for me to even walk with Blakk Cedi in Jamaica, you guys should know there will be a conversation. Blakk Cedi still loves Stonebwoy, but people need to come out and help him,” Shatta Wale said during the TikTok Live session.

His comments have drawn attention to the relationship between Stonebwoy and Blakk Cedi, who previously worked together during an important period in the musician’s career.

Although the two have had differences in the past, Shatta Wale’s remarks suggest that their relationship may not necessarily be defined by the disagreements that have attracted public attention.

The Dancehall King hitmaker also expressed concern about Stonebwoy’s relationships with people who were once close to him.

He attributed the apparent distance between the musician and some individuals in his circle to what he described as Stonebwoy’s difficult temperament.

“They all know that because of his bad temperament, that’s why they’re all not with him,” he stated.

Shatta Wale’s observation points to what he believes may be one of the factors affecting Stonebwoy’s personal and professional relationships. However, his comments represent his own assessment of the situation and do not establish the reasons behind every strained relationship involving the musician.

Beyond the issue involving Blakk Cedi, Shatta Wale urged Ghanaians to look beyond public perceptions and consider the challenges Stonebwoy might be experiencing.

He suggested that the musician could benefit from greater understanding and support rather than being subjected to continued criticism.

Drawing from his own experiences in the entertainment industry, Shatta Wale explained that repeated exposure to social media commentary had taught him how to assess criticism and determine which opinions deserved his attention.

He said learning to separate constructive feedback from comments that could be ignored had contributed positively to his personal development.

“I’ve been on social media so many times, and people have said things that I had to decide which one to take and which one to ignore, which has helped my life,” he said.

Shatta Wale’s remarks reflect the pressure public figures can face as they navigate criticism, disagreements and expectations from fans and the wider public.

For musicians with large followings, conversations on social media can influence public perceptions of their personalities and relationships, sometimes making private disagreements subjects of widespread debate.

He maintained that Stonebwoy deserved support during what he believes could be a difficult period, encouraging Ghanaians to pay closer attention to the situation instead of dismissing the musician’s possible struggles.

“With him, Ghanaians should help him. He’s going through something that we need to pay attention to,” Shatta Wale added.

The appeal is notable given the longstanding rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, two of Ghana’s most prominent dancehall musicians.

Their relationship has attracted considerable public interest over the years, with their disagreements frequently generating discussions among fans and entertainment commentators.

Shatta Wale’s latest comments, however, place the focus on supporting Stonebwoy and encouraging a better understanding of the issues he may be facing.

His reference to Blakk Cedi also introduces a personal dimension to the discussion, suggesting that past differences may not necessarily mean that all affection or goodwill has disappeared.

While Shatta Wale did not provide specific details about the challenges he believes Stonebwoy is experiencing, his message was clear: he wants Ghanaians to show the musician more support and pay attention to what may be happening in his life.

Whether the remarks will lead to renewed conversations between Stonebwoy and Blakk Cedi remains to be seen, but Shatta Wale’s intervention has added another layer to the ongoing public discussion surrounding the dancehall star and his relationships within the music industry.
