Prime Minister Benvinda Levi arrived in the city of Belgrade, capital of the Republic of Serbia, on Sunday, where she will take part tomorrow in the High-Level Meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
The meeting is being organised by the Government of Serbia as part of celebrations marking the 65th anniversary of the creation of the movement, on 1 September 1961, in the Serbian capital.
The focus of the meeting, in which Benvinda Levi is participating on behalf of President Daniel Chapo, will be Mozambique’s reaffirmation of its commitment to multilateralism, peace, solidarity and international cooperation, in a context marked by global challenges that require greater coordination among States.
On the sidelines of the celebrations, the Prime Minister will hold meetings with government authorities of the Republic of Serbia, with a view to deepening bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries.
On this trip, Benvinda Levi is accompanied by Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mozambican Communities Abroad, Maria de Fátima Manso.
Upon her arrival, Benvinda Levi was received by Adrijana Mesarović, who holds two positions in the Serbian Government, namely Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy.
