High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has asked coordinators of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement work for the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 2027 presidential election.
Tompolo, the movement’s grand patron, specifically directed the coordinators to take the campaign to households, markets, workplaces, communities and religious centres to mobilise support for the president’s second term.
He spoke at the presentation of 26 vehicles and inauguration of the coordinators in Gombe State.
The coordinators also received other campaign materials.
Tompolo, represented by the managing director of Tantita Security Services Limited, Chief Kestin Pondi, urged the coordinators to publicise the administration’s achievements and intensify grassroots engagement.
Pondi commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for infrastructure development, particularly road construction, attributing the increased capacity of state governments to execute projects partly to additional resources available following the removal of the petrol subsidy.
He said the vehicles would enable the movement to reach communities across Gombe’s 11 local government areas.
In his remarks, Governor Yahaya, who expressed confidence that the APC would secure victory in Gombe and support Tinubu’s re-election, said the president’s policies had created opportunities for infrastructure and agricultural development.
The governor highlighted an agricultural initiative targeting farmers, herders, processors and young people, following the approval of a N130 billion grant. He also pointed to plans to improve road connectivity between Gombe and neighbouring states.
Yahaya urged the movement to sustain its mobilisation efforts, expressing confidence that the APC would win across all levels of government.
“APC, by the grace of God, will deliver from head to toe,” he said, adding that the president had secured the support of governors and the people of Gombe.
He said the state’s agricultural potential made it well-positioned to benefit from the administration’s policies, noting that farmers, herders, processors and young people involved in agricultural activities stood to gain from the initiative.
The governor also referenced a planned road project linking the Federal Highway through Gwagwalada and Garki to Gombe, describing improved connectivity as part of the development opportunities associated with the federal government.
Yahaya, who chairs the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, expressed confidence in the APC’s political strength, noting that most governors in the country and the North were members of the ruling party.
The movement’s national coordinator, Sunday Asuku, urged residents to support Tinubu, citing regional development commissions, local government financial autonomy and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) scheme among the administration’s policies.
Also in Ondo State, Tompolo challenged coordinators to translate the state’s approximately two million registered voters into votes for Tinubu in 2027.
He spoke at the presentation of 26 vehicles and inauguration of the coordinators in Ondo State.
He urged them to highlight what he described as the administration’s achievements, including the absence of fuel queues, payment of salaries and pensions, and the absence of strikes by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
Ondo State governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa commended the movement’s grassroots mobilisation efforts, saying the vehicles would improve coordinators’ mobility and help spread the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.
Aiyedatiwa also assured support groups backing Tinubu and other APC candidates of the state government’s assistance, including security.
The Ondo APC chairman, Kolawole Babatunde, commended Aiyedatiwa for supporting grassroots mobilisation and said the party was targeting at least one million votes for Tinubu in the state in 2027.
