Why British Airways Is Stripping 88 Economy Seats From Every Airbus A380 In Its Fleet
BA is gearing up to retrofit its A380 fleet into a more modern premium seating configuration as it plans to continue operating Superjumbos.

British Airways is currently adjusting its Airbus A380 Superjumbo schedules as it prepares to cycle its A380s through its cabin retrofit program this winter. While British Airways said in 2024 that the newly retrofitted A380s would be flying in mid-2026, it doesn't appear any have yet entered service, despite some already passing through deep maintenance earlier this year.
