Villa seek to bounce back from Blacks Power draw at Lugazi

SC Villa will be keen to return to winning ways at Lugazi following their frustrating stalemate with Blacks Power at Wankulukuku.

The Jogoos head into the game second on the table with 18 points and have an opportunity to climb top of the standings should they win and leaders BUL falter against Entebbe UPPC.

Zeljko Kovacevic’s men have blown hot and cold in the recent outings although they remain one of the few unbeaten sides in the division alongside BUL and Kitara.

Against Lugazi, the backline led by Arnold Odong will be tasked to stop Cromwell Rwothomio who has netted three goals so far including the consolation in the 2-1 defeat to KCCA on Wednesday.

Up front, Frank Ssebuufu, Ibrahim Kasinde, Patrick Kakande and John Asiimwe will need to be their mercurial best if they are to overcome Richard Ayiko led backline that has kept two successive home clean sheets against Express and BUL.

Villa leads the way in the recent six meetings in all competitions with four wins [D2].

Elsewhere, KCCA visit Mbarara City, BUL host Entebbe UPPC, Kitara are away to UPDF, Blacks Power take on NEC while URA host champions Vipers under floodlights.
