Abronye DC Claims Chairman Wontumi Is Seriously Ill at Nsawam Prison

Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has raised concerns about the health condition of Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, widely known as Chairman Wontumi.

Abronye has claimed that Chairman Wontumi is seriously ill while in custody at Nsawam Prison, disputing assurances from some NPP leaders that the embattled politician is in good health.

According to Abronye, the information being shared by certain party figures about Wontumi’s condition does not reflect his understanding of the situation.

“Wontumi is very sick at Nsawam Prison; any NPP leader who says he is in good health is a liar,” Abronye is quoted as saying.

His statement has drawn attention to concerns surrounding the health and welfare of the former Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman while he remains in custody.

The comments have also raised questions about the differing accounts emerging from within the NPP regarding Wontumi’s condition. However, Abronye’s claims have not been independently verified, and no medical details have been provided to establish the severity of the alleged illness.

Chairman Wontumi’s legal troubles and detention have attracted considerable attention from party supporters and political observers, with developments surrounding his case continuing to generate public discussion.

Abronye’s latest remarks are likely to intensify calls for clarity about Wontumi’s wellbeing and the conditions under which he is being held.

As concerns grow, an official update from the relevant authorities or Wontumi’s legal representatives would help establish the facts surrounding his reported health condition.

For now, the claim that Chairman Wontumi is seriously ill remains an allegation attributed to Abronye DC, pending independent confirmation.
