Suspected Kidnappers Attack Kaduna Estate, Abduct Residents

Suspected bandits stormed Alrahus Estate in Kaduna Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, late Monday night, abducting a pregnant woman along with a man, his wife and their six-month-old baby.
The attack, which occurred around 11:30pm, sent residents into panic as the gunmen moved from house to house in search of victims.
Abdulladir Bello, husband of the pregnant woman, said he was in Abuja when his wife called to alert him that people were trying to force their way into their compound. He attempted to contact the police but could not get through, then reached out to the military, which quickly deployed personnel to the area.
Bello said the attackers fled with his wife after breaking into a neighbouring house and seizing the couple and their infant. The kidnappers later contacted him and demanded a substantial ransom for her release.
He praised the military’s swift response and urged residents to keep cooperating with security agencies to address the insecurity.Another resident whose home was targeted but who managed to escape with his family said the attackers entered several houses looking for people to abduct.
He noted that he had moved to the estate about four years earlier after bandits attacked his previous community in the Keke B area. The latest raid has renewed fears among residents.
“Now they have followed us here again, but we thank God nobody was killed. We pray that those abducted will return safely to their families,” he said.
The incident came barely five days after a similar attack at PW Babban Saura, in which a man was killed and his wife, son and six others were abducted.Attempts to reach the Kaduna State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, for comment were unsuccessful at the time of the original report.
