Reactions as PSG Manager Was Spotted Giving Tactical Directions To Barcelona’s Raphinha Last Night

According to a post on its official Facebook account on Wednesday October 21, 2026, ESPN FC has shared images showing Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique appearing to give Barcelona forward Raphinha tactical directions during their Champions League clash, prompting amused reactions from fans online.

The post, published on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, joked about the unusual moment, writing: “PSG manager Luis Enrique was giving tactical directions to Barcelona’s Raphinha

In the images, Enrique is seen near the dugout gesturing towards Raphinha, who appears to respond with a smile. The lighthearted exchange stood out during a high-stakes European fixture between the clubs.

The match took place on Tuesday, October 20, at the Parc des Princes, where PSG defeated Barcelona 4-2. Raphinha started for Barcelona and was substituted in the 59th minute, according to match coverage.

The post quickly became a talking point among supporters, who joked that Enrique’s history with Barcelona had left him with enough “Barcelona DNA” to offer advice to players on both sides.

The phrase appeared in fan reactions to the moment, rather than as a direct quote from the manager.

Enrique previously managed Barcelona, leading the club from 2014 to 2017. His familiarity with the team and its players helped fuel the online jokes, as fans imagined him momentarily stepping into the role of coach for both sides.

The exchange also drew attention because Enrique had recently praised Raphinha, describing him as one of the best players in the world, according to the supplied account.
