South African Amapiano star Zandile “Zee” Nxumalo is set to return to Bulawayo for the second time when she headlines the Izipho Music Festival on September 12.
Nxumalo previously performed in the City of Kings at the 2025 Bulawayo Shutdown, and her return is already generating excitement among local music fans. Social media has been abuzz with posts about the upcoming show, with fans expressing anticipation at the prospect of seeing the South African star back on a Bulawayo stage.
Nxumalo will share the stage with a strong line-up of local talent, including Mzoe 7, Nizhe DeSoul, Fab B, BlackDiva Zhezhington and MJ the DJ, among others.
For Mzoe 7, who is part of the local line-up, festivals such as Izipho Music Festival play an important role in creating opportunities for artistes while strengthening ties between performers, venues and surrounding communities.
“Events are important to artistes in the sense that they add value to them, the premises and community. Foreign acts get to interact with our own superstars as well and know more about our rich music culture,” he said.
Black Diva said sharing the stage with an established regional artiste such as Zee Nxumalo represents a significant milestone in her career.
“Sharing the stage with big artistes like Zee Nxumalo means a lot to me; in fact, it’s an achievement,” she said.
