Sports Correspondent|Zimbabwe’s football governing body has handed six-match bans to two Premier Soccer League match officials.
In a statement on Friday ZIFA said:
The Zimbabwe Football Association has suspended referees Quedsani Dirwai and Magare Mhaka from taking charge of any PSL fixtures for the next six matchdays.
The disciplinary action follows match commissioner reports submitted after games played on 1 August 2026.
Dirwai’s suspension stems from his officiating of the Scotland FC versus MWOS FC encounter at Rufaro Stadium. Mhaka was punished for his role in the FC Platinum versus Simba Bhora clash at Mandava Stadium.
In both matches, commissioners cited questionable decisions that were judged to have had a direct impact on the final results.
This marks the second time Dirwai has received a six-game ban from ZIFA. He was given the same sanction last season after his performance in the FC Platinum versus Dynamos fixture at Mandava Stadium.
