Wicknell Chivayo’s Death Puts Ruto in Hot Soup as Unexpected News Arrives from South Africa

South African media personality Sizwe Dhlomo has questioned a sensational claim involving President William Ruto, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo.

The controversy began after Gachagua reportedly claimed that Chivayo was holding more than KSh1.5 trillion on behalf of President Ruto before his alleged death in a helicopter crash in Zimbabwe. The huge figure immediately attracted attention, with Kenyans and social media users seeking to understand the basis of the allegation.

Dhlomo has now joined the conversation, questioning whether it was realistic for such a massive amount of money to have been held by one individual. His remarks have added a new dimension to the debate, particularly because the claim has attracted attention beyond Kenya.

The KSh1.5 trillion figure has become the biggest talking point, with questions being raised about whether the alleged amount referred to cash, investments, assets or other financial arrangements. However, the allegations have not been independently established, and no evidence has been presented in the claim itself to verify the reported figure.

The issue has also generated broader discussions about the relationship between politics, business and wealthy individuals across the region. Gachagua’s remarks have continued to attract reactions, while Dhlomo’s response has encouraged more people to scrutinise the extraordinary amount mentioned.

For many social media users, the central question remains whether the KSh1.5 trillion claim can be supported by credible evidence.

The story has consequently continued to gain traction online, with different opinions emerging over the allegation and the circumstances surrounding Chivayo.

As the debate unfolds, further clarification or evidence would be necessary to establish the facts behind the claim. Until then, the reported KSh1.5 trillion remains an allegation that has generated considerable public interest.
