Alameda Healthcare hosts second annual conference to advance medical education in Egypt
EGYPT—Alameda Healthcare Group held its second annual conference in Cairo on October 14 and 15, 2026, bringing together more than 5,000 participants to promote continuing medical education and improve clinical practice.
Held under the patronage of Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population, Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the event took place at Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile and featured more than 150 scientific sessions, with over 50 partner companies and institutions participating.
Scientific programme supports clinical development
The opening ceremony brought together senior government officials, healthcare regulators, professional associations and industry representatives.
Attendees included Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El Din, Presidential Adviser for Health and Prevention Affairs; Dr. Ahmed El Ansary, Governor of Giza; and Dr. Ahmed Taha, Chairman of the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation.
Other attendees included representatives of the Ministry of Health and Population, the Egyptian Health Council, the Egyptian Medical Syndicate, the Health Insurance Organization and the World Health Organization, alongside Alameda Healthcare Chairman Dr. Fahd Khater, Chief Executive Officer Neeraj Mishra and Group Chief Medical Advisor Prof. Hossam Hosny.
Building on its inaugural edition in 2025, the conference expanded its scientific programme to include lectures, clinical case discussions, practical workshops and panel sessions led by Egyptian and international experts.
Participating physicians earned 16 continuing medical education (CME) credit hours accredited by the Egyptian Health Council.
The sessions covered clinical knowledge and current medical practices, with a focus on applying scientific evidence in everyday healthcare delivery.
Meanwhile, participation by pharmaceutical companies, medical technology providers and academic institutions created opportunities for professional networking and collaboration across the healthcare sector.
Alameda highlights investment in healthcare professionals
Dr. Fahd Khater said improving healthcare standards requires investment not only in facilities and technology but also in the professionals responsible for patient care.
He said the conference provides a platform for medical knowledge exchange and professional development, helping healthcare workers strengthen their expertise and apply scientific advances in clinical practice.
Alameda aims to continue supporting medical education through collaboration with partners across Egypt’s healthcare sector.
Mishra said the conference reflects the group’s focus on collaboration as a means of strengthening clinical practice and improving the standard of care delivered across its facilities.
Hosny highlighted the importance of connecting scientific evidence with practical clinical applications.
He said the conference encourages interdisciplinary exchange, supports continuous professional development and helps healthcare professionals translate advances in medical research into better-informed patient care.
Industry implications
The conference supports broader efforts to strengthen Egypt’s healthcare workforce through structured professional development and collaboration between healthcare providers, regulators, academic institutions and industry.
For healthcare companies, these forums also offer opportunities to exchange clinical expertise, discuss medical technologies, and build relationships with healthcare professionals.
The emphasis on accredited education and evidence-based practice aligns with the sector’s need to maintain clinical standards as medical knowledge and treatment approaches evolve.
