BULAWAYO, Aug. 27 (NewsDay Live) — The Parliament of Zimbabwe is strengthening the capacity of its senior administrative officials through a three-day training programme focused on monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and performance management at Rainbow Hotel in Bulawayo.
The training brings together chief directors, directors and heads of departments, with the goal of equipping them with advanced M&E competencies to support Parliament in effectively fulfilling its constitutional mandate.
The programme focuses on helping participants translate high-level parliamentary outputs into measurable institutional outcomes and strengthen the use of data in decision-making.
It also seeks to improve the integration of Programme-Based Budgeting (PBB) and M&E data into parliamentary and administrative projects and processes.
Participants will further be equipped with quality-assurance mechanisms to strengthen parliamentary processes and institutional performance.
The training emphasises results-based management (RBM) and M&E frameworks as key tools for tracking performance, measuring outcomes and ensuring that institutional programmes achieve their intended results.
The initiative comes as Parliament continues to strengthen its administrative systems and ensure that its programmes and processes are guided by measurable results and effective performance monitoring.
