Vice President Dr Jane Mayemu Ansah is expected to attend the Upper and Lower-Shire Joint Kotale Mega Conference of the Zambezi Evangelical Church (ZEC) today, Sunday, at Mitsidi Synod Ground in Sigerege, Blantyre.
Ansah will attend the gathering as Guest of Honour, which has brought together ZEC members from the Upper and Lower-Shire areas.
According to the programme, the Vice President is expected to arrive at the ZEC Synod Office at 9:30am, where she will be welcomed by a Girl’s Brigade member who will present her with a bouquet of flowers.
She will then sign the visitors’ book before being introduced to the church leadership.
At 11am, Ansah is scheduled to read the Bible from Revelation 2:1-7 during the main service.
The programme also includes a Girls’ Brigade parade, choir performances, praise and worship, preaching and prayers.
Reverend Luckwell Mtima will deliver the sermon, while Reverend SB Mphamba will lead prayers.
Speeches will follow from Senior Chief Kuntaja, ZEC Synod Chairman Reverend R. Mambeya and the Member of Parliament for Blantyre South.
The conference will conclude with a joint service at the Mitsidi Synod Ground, where church members will worship and celebrate together.
