Ghanaian-Italian forward Caleb Ekuban, currently without a club, is being linked with a move to Hellas Verona in Serie B.The 32-year-old became unattached on 1 July 2026 after leaving Genoa, where he had spent five seasons following his move from Trabzonspor. Verona are now reported to be considering a move for the centre-forward as they assess their attacking options.Ekuban began his senior career in Italy and has made 108 Serie A appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists. He also spent two seasons in Turkey with Trabzonspor, where he won the Turkish Cup in 2019-20.His most productive spell came in the Turkish Super Lig, where he scored 20 goals in 83 appearances, while he also recorded four goals in six Europa League qualifying matches. His career includes a period in England with Leeds, although he made 20 Championship appearances and scored once during that spell.Ekubans market value is listed at 1.2m, but his current status means any move to Verona would not involve a transfer fee. He previously joined Genoa from Trabzonspor in August 2021 for 2.6m.The reported interest comes with Ekuban entering the new season without a club, while Hellas Verona prepare for life in Serie B. No agreement has been confirmed, and the proposed move remains at the rumour stage.
