Family announce date for funeral of Thomas Partey’s father

The family of Ghanaian footballer Thomas Teye Partey has announced the funeral arrangements for his late father, Jacob Teye Partey, with the final funeral rites scheduled for November 14, 2026, at Odumasi Krobo in the Eastern Region.

According to the funeral announcement, the body of the late Jacob Teye Partey will be received at Transition Funeral Home in Accra on Friday, November 13 before the burial service at the Matse Isreal School Park in Odumasi Krobo-Aklomoase on Saturday.

A thanksgiving service will follow on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at the Matse Isreal School Park, where family members, friends and sympathisers are expected to gather to honour the memory of the deceased.

Ahead of the funeral, Partey’s mother, sister and manager met in the Eastern Region to prepare for the final rites, including arrangements for invitations to mourners and well-wishers.

Friends and sympathisers have been invited to join the family in paying their last respects to the late Jacob Teye Partey.

Jacob Teye Partey reportedly passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 after a brief illness.

The one week observance of the late Mr. Jacob Teye Partey, affectionately known as Agingo came off at Aklomuase School Park in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality on October 16.
