AFCON 2027 qualifiers: Carlos Queiroz promises depleted Black Stars will deliver against Ivory Coast

Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has assured Ghanaians that the Black Stars will deliver against Ivory Coast in their upcoming clash in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).The Black Stars are in Ivory Coast to begin their campaign for next years AFCON. The team is competing in Group C, made up of Ivory Coast, Gambia, and Somalia.Unfortunately, star players Mohammed Kudus, Antoine Semenyo, and Jordan Ayew have all withdrawn from the Ghana squad for the first two matches of the qualification campaign due to various injuries.Speaking ahead of the match against Ivory Coast, Carlos Queiroz stressed that his team is determined to deliver.We didn't come here to walk in the park. We came here to deliver, he said.The Portuguese coach added, "Ivory Coast have players with a lot of power, creativity, [and] skill, who like to play attacking football. I can say the same thing about these qualities for Ghana."The big showdown between Ivory Coast and Ghana is scheduled to kick off at 19:00GMT at Stade de la Paix in Bouake.
