IRGC Claims Missile and Drone Strikes on Two U.S. Air Bases in Jordan
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it has launched a joint ballistic missile and drone attack in response to what it described as American-Israeli aggression against Iran’s Larak Island.
In a statement, the IRGC said the operation, codenamed “Ya Muhammad ibn Abdullah,” targeted maintenance infrastructure and aircraft facilities at two U.S. military air bases in Jordan: King Hussein Air Base and Muwaffaq Al-Salti Air Base.
According to the IRGC, ballistic missiles were used in the attack, causing what it described as significant damage to enemy military infrastructure.
The IRGC warned that continued attacks against Iran would fail to weaken the Islamic Republic’s control over the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that every act of aggression would be met with an even stronger response.
There has been no independent confirmation of the IRGC’s claims, and U.S. or Jordanian authorities have not yet publicly commented on the reported strikes.
