Mona Zaki’s newest series to premiere October 10th on Shahid platform

Actress Mona Zaki discussed her upcoming series, “Tale’ Nazel” (Going Up, Going Down), scheduled to premiere on October 10 on the Shahid platform.

In a teaser posted on Shahid’s Instagram page, Zaki said: “They say that behind every great man, there is a great woman—but no one ever mentioned what happens when that woman is deeply hurt. This isn’t a story about infidelity; it’s about what happens afterwards.”

“Tale’ Nazel” stars Mohamed Shahin, Mariam al–Khosht, Laila Ezz el–Arab, Mimi Gamal, and Hamza Diab. The series is written by Samah Ahmed Abdel–Khalek and Engy al–Kassem, and directed by Hany Khalifa.

The series revolves around a musician living what appears to be a stable married life with his wife—a powerful businesswoman who owns a major company.

Although the couple had agreed not to have children, the wife secretly harbors a genuine desire to start a family.

Her life is upended when she discovers her husband’s infidelity and the fact that he has secretly married another woman. Faced with this devastating revelation, she struggles internally—torn between the pain of betrayal and the need to reclaim her dignity—before events escalate toward a confrontation that could drive her to seek revenge.

Shahin discussed the character of “Ali”—whom he portrays in the series—alongside Zaki’s character, “Noura,” saying: “Noura and Ali are the kind of characters that make you envious—you wish you could live even a fraction of their lives. He achieved his dream and became Egypt’s most famous musician; they had everything, yet human nature is greedy.”
