2026 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U-17 Championship to be held in October

The 2026 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Championship will take place from October 310, 2026, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

Ten regional teams will report to the GFA Technical Centre on Friday October 2, 2026, one day before the seven-day tournament begins. As part of their preparations, the players and officials will take part in FIFA Safeguarding orientation sessions on arrival.

The teams will be drawn into two groups of five for the competition, which is designed to bring together some of the countrys leading young footballers. The tournament will also provide an opportunity for talent scouts and development coaches to assess the players.

Sponsored by KGL Foundation, the championship is focused on identifying and developing promising Under-17 Colts players from across Ghana. It gives them the chance to perform on a national platform while showcasing their ability, potential and footballing quality.

The tournament is being staged as part of the Ghana Football Associations Talent Development Scheme (TDS). The scheme aims to identify, nurture and develop the next generation of Ghanaian football stars.

The sixth edition will feature the best Under-17 Colts players selected from the ten Regional Football Associations. Alongside the opportunity to compete nationally, the players will gain valuable experience and continue their progression in the game.
