Minister of Youth and Sports Gohar Nabil congratulated on Sunday, August 30, 2026, the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation’s Board of Directors, headed by Sherif al-Erian, as well as the national team’s athletes.
He also congratulated the team’s technical, administrative and medical staff on Egypt’s strong performance at the Modern Pentathlon World Championships in China.
Egyptian athletes won four medals at the championships, including three silver and one bronze.
Nabil also congratulated rising star Farida Khalil after she won silver in the women’s individual event.
Khalil also helped Egypt’s women’s team, alongside Jana Attia and Janna al-Gendy, secure silver in the team event.
The Minister congratulated men’s team members Moataz Mohamed, Mohannad Shaaban and Mohamed al Ashqar after they won silver in the team event.
He also congratulated Zeina Amer and Jana Attia after the duo secured bronze in the women’s relay event.
Nabil praised the efforts of the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation and its support for the country’s athletes, saying these efforts have helped establish Egypt among the sport’s leading nations internationally.
