KAVANGO Resources is stepping up gold production in Zimbabwe after commissioning a 50-tonne-a-day processing plant at its Hillside project near Bulawayo, as the company moves towards owner-operated mining and away from its earlier reliance on artisanal ore. The London-listed mining company’s Zimbabwe operations generated US$2,03 million in revenue in the six months to June 30, 2026, up from US$420 000 in the comparable period, as higher processing volumes at Hillside helped turn the mining segment to a US$471 000 gross profit from a US$410 000 loss previously. Kavango said the first-half revenue was largely derived from processing ore produced by artisanal miners, treatment charges and residual material.
