“Where Did Sifuna Get The Millions?” Alfred Mutua Claim What and Who May Be Behind Sifuna’s Campaign

Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has questioned the financial backing behind Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna’s political activities, claiming that Linda Mwananchi party leader is a project being funded with millions of shillings.

Alfred Mutua raised concerns over how Sifuna suddenly acquired substantial financial resources to support his political campaigns, questioning the source of the money being spent on his activities.

He suggested that the senator was receiving financial support from powerful individuals or interests seeking to advance a particular political agenda.

The CS’s remarks come amid growing political attention surrounding Sifuna’s Linda Mwananchi movement, which has attracted support from a section of opposition leaders and politicians. Sifuna has increasingly featured in discussions about possible political alignments ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Mutua’s claims add to the political debate surrounding the movement’s funding, leadership and objectives as different political camps continue positioning themselves ahead of the next election.
