In a Monday post published on X, Mang'eni claimed that a group she described as Namwamba's supporters tried to disrupt a Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda sensitisation forum before being overpowered by those attending.
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Principal Secretary Susan Mang'eni has accused former Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba of attempting to break up a UDA delegates' meeting in the constituency.
In a Monday post published on X, Mang'eni claimed that a group she described as Namwamba's supporters tried to disrupt a Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda sensitisation forum before being overpowered by those attending.
The meeting went ahead, and delegates proceeded to open a party office in the constituency, she said.
"The first investment we saw you make today was trying to disrupt the UDA delegate BETA sensitisation meeting," she wrote.
"You must be feeling bad and hurt that people overpowered your few goons and the meeting went on. They opened their office and are firmly behind President William Ruto."
The PS went further, accusing Namwamba of working against Ruto's re-election bid out of personal grievance.
"You are against President Ruto's re-election bid because you are hurting, and your mission is to blackmail him," she wrote. "You have never even invested in the party that made you become who you are today."
She also invoked Namwamba's decade in Parliament, where he represented Budalangi from 2007 until his defeat in 2017.
"No wonder you presided over poverty in Budalangi for 10 years and they ejected you," Mang'eni wrote, adding that residents had rejected what she termed blackmail. "You are not Budalangi and Budalangi is not you."
Namwamba, a former Sports Cabinet Secretary and one-time ODM secretary general, was appointed Kenya's High Commissioner to Uganda in January, having previously served as the country's permanent representative to the United Nations Environment Programme.
