Look: Springbok lock RG Snyman and Saskia welcome baby girl

RG Snyman has a fresh title to add to his** World Cup** medals: girl dad. The Springbok lock and his wife Saskia shared the news of their first child’s arrival, a daughter born in Ireland, where the couple has built their life since Snyman joined Munster in 2020.

Saskia posted the announcement on Instagram with the baby’s name, Rooks Rose, alongside the caption ‘she’s here and she’s perfect’. The comments filled quickly with love from Springbok circles, including well-wishes from teammates’ partners.

It rounds off a tender year for the family. The couple first shared they were expecting back in May, not long after Saskia completed her MBA, another milestone she celebrated alongside her husband’s rugby career.

Snyman himself is currently on the sidelines with a serious knee injury, expected to keep him out until 2027. But for now, rugby takes a back seat. There is a new teammate in the Snyman household and she has already stolen the show.
