Ghanaian forward Hakim Sulemana has returned to Danish second-tier side Hillerod Fodbold on a permanent deal after signing a contract that will run until the summer of 2028.The 21-year-old joins Hillerod after a proposed move to Scottish Premiership side St Mirren fell through following a breakdown in negotiations.Sulemana had been searching for a new club after his contract with Randers FC expired this summer, with Hillerod eventually emerging as his next destination.The Ghanaian already knows the club well after spending the 2025/26 season there on loan from Randers. He made 18 appearances and scored two goals, while earning more playing time towards the latter stages of the campaign.His improved performances convinced Hillerod to bring him back on a permanent basis, giving the forward another opportunity to continue his development in familiar surroundings.Sulemana is a former Ghana Under-20 international and was part of the national team that won gold at the 2023 African Games on home soil.He also comes from a footballing family, with his senior brother Kamaldeen Sulemana an established Ghana international. Kamaldeen has represented the Black Stars at two FIFA World Cups and has built a career in European football.Hakim will now look to establish himself at Hillerod and build on the progress he made during the final stages of his previous spell.The Danish club are pleased to have secured his return, with coach Lonstrup backing the youngster to continue developing after showing encouraging signs last season.
