Apostle Faradey Challenge Religious Leaders To Preach The Gospel Of Truth To Transform Lives

Special Adviser on Religious matters and Chaplain Government House Chapel Apostle Dr. Faraday Sule Azekhumen has challenged religious leaders to preach the gospel of truth to their congregation to help transform souls.

Apostle Faradey spoke during the independent day prayer and praise programme with the theme: “Total Peace In Edo State And Nigeria”, held at the government house Chapel in Benin City.

The Clergyman said kidnappers, armed robbers, bandits and criminal elements attend churches, mosques and other gatherings which may be traditional and listen to sermons and messages and urge those religious leaders to preach the truth.

He said messages of the truth have the capability to touch these souls and turn them away from their wicked ways to follow the part of truth and peace.

Faradey commended governor Monday Okpebholo for the peace enjoyed in Edo State under his watch urging the citizens to continue to collaborate and support the administration for a better life.

“We blame our leaders for the challenges the nation is facing when we fail to preach the truth. There are so many lies and deceit. We should speak the truth all the time and as Christians we should stand by the truth.

“We should preach the truth because in our congregation we have all manner of people including kidnappers and other criminal elements, our words have the power to transform lives.

“Edo State has witnessed peace, unity, growth and development under the watch of senator Monday Okpebholo.There is peace in all sectors of the Edo economy.

“This programme is to celebrate the 66th independent ceremony of the nation. We are here to pray for the peace of Nigeria and the forthcoming general election.

“I called on the church to stand on the part of pace urging religion leaders to speak Truth to power and also preach the gospel of truth to the followers as kidnappers, robbers, and others engaged in criminal activities attend religion Institutions”.

Rev. Fr. Daniel Osayomore Iyangbe call on Nigerians at this difficult time to continue to endure and hope for a better life.

He noted that while enduring Nigerians must work harder and cooperate with the government and different security agencies to fight against criminality in the society.

“Good governance is a product of synergy where citizens and the authority work together to get a better result”.

The speaker of the programme Pastor Emmanuel Ibiwoye said God has disappointed the enemies of Nigeria as the nation is still enjoying peace despite the challenges.

Reading from Ish 9:6; John 14:27 said God Almighty will ensure peace upon Nigeria as the nation move towards the general election come 2027.

“The church must pray for the State and the nation to enable us continue to enjoy peace and unity. Edo is enjoying peace as God has a good plan for the State through the governor”.
