National Super League side Soy United have begun preparations for the new season, with the club planning to appoint a new head coach and strengthen its squad.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Soy United Chief Executive Officer Edwin Ayiro said the club's main objective for the coming campaign is to approach every match with seriousness while working towards positive results one game at a time.
Ayiro believes the club can build a more competitive team by addressing some of the weaknesses that affected its performance last season.

However, Ayiro said the club has identified those challenges and is working on solutions ahead of the new campaign.
The CEO said strengthening the squad will be a key part of the preparations as Soy United seek to improve both their competitiveness and their results.
"First, we intend to make changes to our coaching department. We are planning to unveil a new coach in the coming week. We also intend to strengthen our playing unit, because last season l, we finished fourth in the first leg and tenth in the second leg. We just want to take one match at a time this season," he said.
Ayiro also called on the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) to give the National Super League greater attention and ensure the competition is run effectively.
He described the NSL as a highly competitive league and urged the federation to prioritise its development.
In addition, Ayiro appealed to FKF to secure a sponsor for the NSL ahead of the new season. He believes sponsorship would provide much-needed support towards improving the league and creating better competitive conditions for participating clubs.
With preparations now underway, Soy United will be hoping that changes to their technical team and playing squad can help them produce a stronger campaign and challenge for improved league fortunes.
