DIVUNDU – Emerging Namibian musician Tirisano Yikoghakogha, popularly known by his stage name RickBuck, has officially released his latest album, ‘LINGA’ , an 18-track project inspired by his personal journey, resilience, and unwavering commitment to music.
Born in Mwitjiku, Divundu, RickBuck says the album grew out of the many challenges he faced both in the music industry and at home, where his passion for music was often questioned.
According to the artist, while the album may appear to carry light-hearted messages on the surface, it reflects a much deeper personal story of determination, sacrifice, and perseverance.
“The ‘ LINGA’ album represents the moment I decided to face whatever comes my way,” RickBuck said.
One of the standout tracks, “LINGA (Kadeya)”, may sound like a love song about a woman he wishes to marry, but the artist explains that it carries a symbolic meaning. Rather than referring to marriage in the traditional sense, the song represents his lifelong commitment to music, with the “ring” symbolising a lasting agreement and dedication to his musical calling.
RickBuck credits the challenges and competition he encountered for strengthening his determination to succeed. He also acknowledges the constant encouragement he received from his team, Kondombolo Dyavuma (K.D Records), who inspired him to take his music career more seriously by reminding him that he has the potential to become “the Gazza (GMP) from Divundu.”
The album features collaborations with several artists, including Young Caesar, Kid K, Zetta, Lamba K, and Sck, all of whom RickBuck thanked for their contributions and creative chemistry throughout the project.
The artist also expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for protecting him and his team during difficult moments in their musical journey. He further paid tribute to his mother, whom he thanked for believing in his talent and supporting his dream.
RickBuck confirmed that ‘LINGA’ is now available on all major digital streaming platforms. Fans can also follow his latest music releases and updates on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
