Nigerian actress Adunni Ade has announced the death of her beloved mother, who passed away on October 18, 2026, after a prolonged battle with illness.

According to a media post by Adunni Ade on Monday, October 19, 2026, the actress expressed deep sorrow over her mother’s death, while submitting to the will of Almighty Allah.

The actress described her late mother as a cherished mother, grandmother and sister, noting that she left behind children, grandchildren, sisters and other loved ones who will continue to treasure her memory.

In her message, Adunni Ade prayed to Allah to forgive her mother’s shortcomings, have mercy upon her, make her grave spacious and fill it with light, and grant her Al-Jannah Firdaus.

She also prayed for patience, strength and comfort for the entire family as they navigate the painful loss.

The actress called on family members, friends and well-wishers to remember her late mother and the family in their prayers.

She further stated that details of the funeral arrangements would be communicated in due course.
