Patrons went back in time at Recall
Kingston came alive last Saturday as Recall Throwback Festival marked its 10th anniversary with a massive staging at Mas Camp.
The event formed part of the Greatness Weekend series. Dubbed ‘Straight Jeans and Fitted’, the anniversary edition was pure nostalgia, featuring songs from the 1990s and 2000s, covering several genres including dancehall, reggae and soca. The musical presentations were by Code Red, DJ Liquid, Triple X, Little Richie and Bad Gyal Marie.
Scores of patrons turned out in early-2000s staples — tight, straight jeans, fitted caps tilted to the side, Air Force Ones, and vintage tees — transforming Mas Camp into a living throwback. From dancehall classics to hip-hop anthems, selectors took the crowd through a decade of memories, while patrons captured every moment for the cameras.
Ten years strong, Recall proved why it remains Jamaica’s premier throwback experience — not just a party, but a culture. The vibe was nostalgic, the fashion on point, and the energy unmatched as Kingston celebrated a decade of remembering when life was simpler
Here are the highlights.
