Stevo Simple Boy Breaks Silence on Son’s Paternity, Reveals Why He Wants DNA Test

Kenyan artist Stevo Simple Boy has ignited renewed discussion online after commenting on the paternity of his son, Dragon Junior, in an interview that gained traction on social media on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

In the interview, the musician addressed the doubts that had been weighing on him and explained his choice to undergo a DNA test to clarify the child’s biological father.

As reported by TUKO.co.ke, Stevo revealed that he had been contemplating this matter for some time. He noted that he observed physical traits in the child that resembled his own, although this resemblance did not fully alleviate his concerns.

He also mentioned that remarks from those around him had fueled his suspicions, leading him to seek definitive answers rather than living with uncertainty. Speaking in Sheng, Stevo stated, “Uchunguzi sasa ni DNA,” indicating that a DNA test was the logical step forward.

However, questions linger about the actual results of the test. While reports and social media claims suggest he has taken the DNA test, they do not confirm its outcome or verify any results independently.

Reactions to the interview among Kenyans online have been mixed. Some sympathized with the child, arguing that paternity issues should be approached delicately to safeguard the child’s feelings and privacy, while others questioned the necessity of discussing the matter publicly.

This controversy follows months after Stevo and his partner, Brenda, introduced their son, Dragon Junior, at a high-profile event at Alfajiri Meadow, which garnered attention due to reports that attendees had to pay to participate in the baby’s reveal. The child also reportedly landed his first brand ambassador deal with a mobile phone company.

Stevo’s personal life has consistently drawn public interest as he remains a prominent figure in Kenya’s entertainment scene.

As this situation unfolds, many are looking forward to any official updates regarding the DNA results.

What are your thoughts on Stevo Simple Boy’s choice to publicly share his concerns about his son’s paternity?
