Zimbabwe vice-captain Marshall Munetsi was on target for Wolverhampton Wanderers, but could not prevent his side from losing 4-2 to West Ham in a Skybet Championship match on Tuesday evening.
Munetsi scored just before the break to bring his side back into the game after West Ham had led 2-0.
He was later replaced in the 66th minute by Tommy Doyle.
That first loss of the season places Wolves third after four games. It was West Ham’s first win of the season.
Both teams are favourites to bounce back to the Premier League after relegaton last season.
