There is reason for Manchester United fans to be concerned over Noussair Mazraoui.
Noussair Mazraoui appears to be dealing with an injury problem after missing Morocco’s international friendly with Mali.
Mazraoui had started for Morocco in their previous game against Lesotho. But he had to be substituted early during the 2-0 win after appearing to suffer an injury while making a tackle.
It was unclear if Mazraoui suffered a knock or was taken off as a precaution.
Now, with Mazraoui failing to even make the bench for Morocco’s latest fixture, it is time to be concerned.
Mazraoui concern adds to United’s defensive woes
Noussair Mazraoui’s uncertain injury status adds to Manchester United’s concerns coming out of the international break.
United have already lost Patrick Dorgu to a suspected hamstring injury after he suffered an injury playing for Denmark.
These problems add pressure to Manchester United’s full-back position.
United will be left with Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot, entering a busy period with six fixtures over a three-week stretch.
There are options, including playing Leny Yoro at full-back or promoting Harry Amass. But it sure would be helpful if Dorgu and Mazraoui can make swift recoveries.
