New Sudan alert warns famine risk is growing in Darfur and Kordofan

The risk of famine is increasing in parts of Sudan’s Greater Darfur and Greater Kordofan, according to a new alert from the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification initiative. Conflict, displacement and drought are combining with inadequate humanitarian funding to worsen access to food, water and treatment.
