Nalolo District Commissioner Namatama Mupo has described President Hakainde Hichilema’s inauguration speech as a call for unity, hard work and service delivery for all Zambians.
Reacting to the President’s address, Ms Mupo said the Head of State has continued to champion the One Zambia, One Nation motto by urging citizens to reject tribalism, violence and hate speech.
Ms Mupo emphasised that the President’s focus remains on strengthening the economy, lowering the cost of living and positioning Zambia on the global stage.
“The President has walked the talk before and we believe he will deliver even more this time. His leadership is God-fearing, and his vision is to unite the country while ensuring no one is left behind,” Ms Mupo stated.
She noted that the directive for public servants to dedicate themselves beyond stipulated working hours demonstrates the President’s commitment to accelerating development.
“Work is 24/7, as long as there is work to be done. That is the spirit we must embrace if we are to meet the people’s expectations,” she added.
The District Commissioner further stressed the importance of building a strong and dedicated team to implement government policies effectively, adding that it is vital to have a hardworking team in place to deliver the much-needed development to the people of Zambia.
Ms Mupo reaffirmed Nalolo District’s support for the President’s ideologies and policies, saying the community remains confident in his leadership and vision for the nation.
She further underscored that the Grow Zambia Agenda outlined by the President, focusing on economic expansion, opportunity, and prosperity must be embraced at district level to ensure that every household benefits from national progress.
Meanwhile, Nanjucha Ward Councilor-elect Manyando Mushokabanji has echoed the District Commissioner’s sentiments, describing the President’s speech as a love song for every well-meaning Zambian.
Mr Mushokabanji said the message of unity and inclusiveness provides a strong foundation for development at both national and local levels.
“The President has set the tone for servant leadership. As elected representatives, we must dedicate ourselves to working with the people, respecting one another, and ensuring that development reaches every corner of our communities,” he said.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the President’s vision, stressing that teamwork and dedication among public servants will be key to delivering the much-needed development in Nalolo District and across the country.
