Milton Karisa urges Vipers to be clinical after back-to-back defeats

AI summary
Vipers SC captain Milton Karisa has urged his teammates to improve their finishing as the Venoms seek to bounce back after back-to-back defeats to Mbarara City and URA FC.
The reigning Uganda Premier League champions have endured a difficult spell, suffering consecutive losses that have raised questions about their attacking efficiency.
Karisa believes Vipers have created enough opportunities but have failed to make them count, identifying poor finishing as a key area that needs immediate improvement.
“We created some chances and we did not score when we should, and I think that is the problem,” Karisa said.
“You can create so many chances and when you create, you have to score. I think we need to be more clinical when we create a chance.”
Despite the disappointing results, the captain remains confident that the team can turn things around and climb up the league table.
“Collectively we will bounce back from this storm and climb up the table. I am sure of that,” he added.
Vipers, however, have little time to dwell on their recent setbacks, with another fixture coming up in just four days.
Karisa insists the team must quickly regroup, regain confidence and approach the next assignment with a winning mentality.
“We are disappointed with the result and now we look to another game in four days. Of course, we need to be confident and we will prepare for that game. We want to win that game,” he said.
The Venoms will be eager to return to winning ways as they lock horns with Lugazi at St Mary’s Stadium. Kitende on Thursday, November 5.
