Osimhen on target as Galatasaray edge Göztepe 3-2

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen continued his impressive start to the season, scoring as Galatasaray secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Göztepe on Saturday.

Göztepe stunned the Turkish champions by taking the lead in the 16th minute through Miroshi, but Galatasaray quickly responded as Davinson Sánchez restored parity.

Osimhen then played a key role in Galatasaray’s comeback, providing the assist for Sara to give the hosts a 2-1 lead.

The Nigerian striker later added his name to the scoresheet, calmly converting a penalty in the 63rd minute to make it 3-1 and take his season tally to five goals.

Göztepe managed to reduce the deficit, but Galatasaray held on to claim a valuable three points.

The result moves Galatasaray to the top of the league table after three matches as they begin their campaign to retain the Turkish league title.
