American Airlines offered Philadelphia Eagles fans $3,500 each to give up their seats on a flight to Nashville on Saturday, as large numbers of fans traveled for the team's game against the Tennessee Titans. The figure is well above what US airlines typically offer passengers to voluntarily give up their seats on oversold flights.
