Eritrea: Golden Jubilee Commemoration of Revolution School

The Golden Jubilee commemoration of the establishment of Revolution School officially opened today with photographs and materials exhibition staged at the Asmara Municipality Hall under the theme “Vibrant Commemoration: New Impetus for Nation Building.”

The exhibition, featuring paintings, cartoons, photographs, and other materials, was officially opened by Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of Ministers and senior Government and PFDJ officials.

The exhibition includes 260 photographs prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of Information depicting life at Revolution School; 25 paintings created by students of the school and preserved at the National Museum; 25 cartoons; nine new paintings; and statistical information about the school, among other exhibits.

Mr. Tombosa Asmelash, chairman of the Documentation and Information Committee, said that the exhibition will remain open to the public until 25 September.

The Golden Jubilee commemorative activities, to be held inside the country and abroad, will feature a music concert, sports competitions, seminars, and a symposium.

Revolution School was established in Sahel in 1976 during the armed struggle for independence.
