Man Utd’s 213-match head-to-head record vs Everton is eye-opener ahead of upcoming clash

Michael Carrick will be at the helm of Manchester United for the Red Devils’ 214th encounter against Everton since the two sides first met on the pitch.

The 45-year-old former Manchester United manager crossed paths with Everton in the 2025-26 Premier League season during his interim reign at Old Trafford.

Michael Carrick chalked up his first win against the Toffees as Red Devils boss after United beat Everton 1-0 in the Premier League clash at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Fast-forward from February’s meeting between the two sides to September and the Red Devils will once again visit the Hill Dickinson Stadium to face David Moyes’ men.

Man Utd hold the better winning record against Everton across their history

Transfermarkt provided historical data on the head-to-head encounters between Manchester United and Everton since their first recorded match back in 1892.

United were known as Newton Heath and the Red Devils were thrashed 6-0 at the hands of Everton in their Football League First Division match at Goodison Park.

The Red Devils have faced the Toffees 213 times across all competitions and United have chalked up 96 wins across their longstanding history with Everton.

Everton, on the other hand, have come out on top 69 times when they have faced the Red Devils and the Toffees have played out 48 draws with Man Utd.

United have narrowly outscored Everton in their 213-match history, with the Red Devils netting 324 times compared with the Toffees’ 291 goalscoring tally.

The Red Devils currently hold a more valuable squad than Everton ahead of Michael Carrick and David Moyes’ second encounter with one another as managers.

Transfermarkt has valued United’s squad at around €924.30m, while Everton’s market value has been marked at around €394.10m.

United will visit the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday afternoon and the Red Devils’ Premier League clash with Everton is slated for a 2pm kick-off time in the UK.

The Red Devils and the Toffees’ second Premier League encounter of the 2026-27 campaign will take place in March 2027 at Old Trafford.
