Carlos Queiroz apologises to Ghanaians after Black Stars defeat to the Gambia

[caption id="attachment_1350031" align="alignnone" width="997"] Carlos Queiroz[/caption]Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz has apologised to Ghanaians following the Black Stars 4-2 defeat to Gambia in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.Ghana surrendered a two-goal lead at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday as Gambia scored four times to complete a dramatic comeback in their Group C match.Speaking after the game, Carlos Queiroz said the result was difficult for the team and accepted responsibility for the disappointing performance.The result was terrible, and myself, the staff, and the players are deeply sad. We have to say sorry to our fans, to our supporters for the result. This was one of those days that everything went wrong, especially in the first half. Conceding two goals in the first half killed the morale of the players and made them nervous. Thats why we were not able to perform well, the coach told journalists at his pre-match press conference.The defeat was Ghanas second consecutive loss in Group C after they were beaten 2-0 by Cte dIvoire in their opening qualifier.The Black Stars are now without a point from their first two matches, while Gambia have moved to six points after winning both of their games,
