Afreximbank puts trade finance at heart of AfCFTA push
AFRICAN Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) will bring together its flagship Trade Finance Seminar and Compliance Forum for the first time, drawing policymakers, financial institutions, regulators and trade practitioners to Gaborone, Botswana, to discuss ways of strengthening intra-African trade. The 2026 Trade Finance Seminar and Compliance Forum will be held at the Gaborone International Convention Centre from November 16 to 18, in partnership with the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC).

The 2026 Trade Finance Seminar and Compliance Forum will be held at the Gaborone International Convention Centre from November 16 to 18, in partnership with the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC). The combined programme will explore how trade finance, regulatory compliance and stronger market integration can support investment, industrialisation and the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
