Zim hip-hop artist Saintfloew is set to headline Shoko Festival’s 2026 Mash Up Night, marking his first time taking the top billing at the annual urban culture event.
The Mash Up Night will be held on Friday, 25 September 2026, at Harare Gardens, with Saintfloew joined by fellow rapper Voltz JT, Mugaratia, Xiba and Bulawayo-based artist Bhila.
Saintfloew has built a following through songs including Uchazondiza and Gucci N Dior. He said he was looking forward to taking the headline slot.
“I can’t wait to tear up the Shoko stage. I’ve been waiting for this moment! This is going to be a really unique performance so don’t miss it!” he said.
Voltz JT, who has previously performed at Shoko, will return for this year’s edition.
“I’m so excited to be performing at the Shoko Festival Mash Up Night. Last time I was there it was amazing! I hope you bring the same energy. Let’s celebrate culture and music together on the 25th of September,” he said.
Mugaratia, who performed at the 2024 festival, will also return, while Xiba will make her Shoko Festival debut.
Bhila, from Bulawayo, will bring a blend of Afro-soul and Mbaqanga to the lineup.
Mash Up Night curator Dennis Shoko said the programme was designed to reflect the different eras and styles within Zim Hip Hop.
“When putting together the Mash Up Nights lineup, the idea was really to celebrate Zim Hip Hop in all its different forms. These are artists who have shaped the culture, artists who are carrying it forward, and audiences who have grown up alongside the music,” he said.
One of the notable features of this year’s event will be the use of a full band to back all the performing artists, giving the acts an opportunity to present their music in a live-band setting.
The event will also host the third edition of Mashoko Tapes, a music residency that brings urban artists together to collaborate on an original album.
Supermuno, Millz Million, Easy Ice, Luigi Badgenna and Hooksmith are among the artists involved in Mashoko Tapes Volume 3.
DJ MadeHerBelieve will round off the night’s performances with a DJ set.
Shoko Festival, organised by Magamba Network, is in its 16th edition and has become a long-running platform for Zimbabwean urban and alternative culture.
Early-bird tickets cost US$10, rising to US$15 at the gate. Tickets are available online through the Shoko Festival website, at Elixir Liquor Stores nationwide and at Moto Republik, 3 Allan Wilson Avenue, Harare.
The Mash Up Night will take place at Harare Gardens on 25 September 2026.
