Charlene Ruto and Husband Find Themselves in the Spotlight After Kericho Wedding Appearance

President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, has attracted attention after attending a wedding in Kericho County alongside her Tanzanian husband, Isaya Yunge.

The couple was spotted walking hand-in-hand across a well-maintained lawn at an outdoor wedding reception on Thursday, October 30, 2026. Photos and videos of their appearance later circulated on social media, prompting comments about their outfits and public display of affection.

Charlene wore a sleeveless, light-lavender, knee-length dress featuring pink floral embroidery around the waist. She completed her look with silver open-toe heels.

Her outfit sparked discussions online, with some social media users praising her understated style while others expressed different opinions about her fashion choice.

Yunge, the founder of SomaApp, a platform that connects African students with scholarship opportunities, wore a dark blue blazer, dark trousers, a white shirt and black shoes. He also accessorised with sunglasses and carried a slim walking cane.

The appearance has drawn interest because it is among the couple’s first reported public outings together in Kericho since their traditional Kalenjin ceremony in August 2026.

Charlene and Yunge held their Koito ak Chaik ceremony on August 8 at Intona Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.

The identities of the couple whose wedding they attended in Kericho have not been publicly confirmed.

Their latest appearance has added to public interest in the newlyweds, with online discussions focusing on Charlene’s fashion and the couple’s appearance together.
