“Mvae sweater Msipate pneumonia“ Senator Methu jokes about Gachagua and Sifuna’s dress code on event

Senator Methu Teases Gachagua and Sifuna Over Their Dressing During Night Festival

Senator Methu amused revellers after making a light-hearted remark about the dressing of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna during a night festival.

Methu joked about the two leaders’ choice of clothing as they attended the event. He urged them to wear sweaters to protect themselves from the cold.

“Mvae sweater msipate pneumonia ni nyinyi tunategemea,” Methu said.

His remarks loosely translate to, “Wear sweaters so you do not get pneumonia. You are the ones we depend on.”

The comment attracted attention because of the playful way he addressed the two politicians. It also added humour to an event that brought together political figures and members of the public.

Gachagua and Sifuna have both remained prominent figures in Kenya’s political discussions. Their public appearances often attract attention from supporters and social media users.

Methu’s joke turned the spotlight towards their dressing rather than political speeches. The remark also gave people at the festival something to laugh about.

The exchange has since attracted interest online. Some social media users have focused on the senator’s choice of words, while others have shared reactions to the leaders’ outfits.

The festival provided an opportunity for leaders and revellers to interact in a relaxed setting.

Such moments often attract attention because they show a lighter side of politicians outside formal meetings and political gatherings.

Methu’s remarks were delivered in a humorous tone. They highlighted the friendly banter that can emerge when political leaders meet at public events.

The video of the moment has been shared online, allowing more Kenyans to see the exchange and react to the senator’s joke.
