JUST-IN: 6 Killed As Fulanis Attack Kammuku Community In Niger

Another attack by Fulanis on Kammuku community in Tasha-Rimi, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, has claimed six lives.

LEADERSHIP findings yesterday revealed that the Fulanis attacked Tasha-Rimi, a native community of Kammuku tribes, at night and killed six people.

Confirming the incident to LEADERSHIP, the Village Head of Tasha-Rimi, Alhaji Garba Mohammed Bissalla, said six people were killed when the Fulanis attacked Musa Bahago, his son, Hamisu Musa, and others in the night.

“Six people were killed by the Fulanis who attacked Musa Bahago and his son, Hamisu Musa and others in the night,” Bissalla said.

He said the community was surprised by the attack, especially as residents had followed the directives of the state governor to encourage their people to embrace peace following the recent clashes with the Fulanis.

“We are surprised with the attacks as we have followed the directives of the governor that we should enjoin our people to embrace peace after the recent clashes with the Fulanis,” he said.

LEADERSHIP reported that three months ago, there was a clash between the Kammuku and Fulanis around the area in Rafi over farmland and grazing routes, leading to the death of more than 20 people.
